About Naremburn Sydney 2065
Naremburn is located in the Lower North Shore region of Sydney; it is situated 6 kms north of the Sydney CBD, in New South Wales, Australia. Naremburn is located in the Willoughby state electorate and has a population of 5,474 people. The suburb was originally called ‘Central Township’ and was founded by Humphrey Evans and Peter Dargan after they were given land grants in 1794. The suburbs surrounding Naremburn are: Willoughby, Northbridge, Artarmon, Cammeray, Crow’s Nest and St Leonards.
In the 1990’s lack of demand and changing demographics led to the closure of the only two primary schools in the suburb. They were never reopened and one became a housing development while the other – the local Catholic school – became a creative arts learning centre. The suburb’s most notable building is the St Cuthberts Anglican Church.
