Annangrove is located in the Hills District region of Sydney; it is situated 42 kms north west of the Sydney CBD in New South Wales, Australia. Annangrove is located in the Hawkesbury state electorate and has a population of 1,370 people. The suburbs surrounding Annangrove are Box Hill, Maraylya, Kenthurst, Nelson, Rouse Hill and Kellyville.
The suburb was named for Annangrove House, the home of Edward Charles Johnston who was the grandson of the original suburb founder George Johnston. The suburb was built on the timber cutting industry and later became orchard land. The first school was built in 1896.
Annangrove is home to the Imam Hasan Centre, one of the few Muslim Hussainias (prayer centres) in Sydney. According to the census conducted in 2011, of the 1370 residents of Annangrove, 79.6% were born in Australia.
